According to the U.S. Department of Labor's Bureau of Labor Statistics, employment for medical assistants is projected to grow much faster than average, ranking medical assistants among the fastest growing occupations over the 2012–22 decade. These professionals are responsible for assisting medical providers by performing administrative duties and basic clinical duties in offices of physicians, podiatrists, chiropractors and other health practitioners.
An Education Relevant to the Needs of Today's Employers
At Missouri College, we believe in treating students like professionals, because we expect them to pursue and assume positions of responsibility in the real world after completing their studies. As a student at our school, you will be immersed in learning experiences similar to those you may encounter in a professional healthcare environment. In most cases, you have access to clinical externship sites where you will have the opportunity to acquire practical experience with real patients.
