Fitness Trainer Programs
Fitness workers lead, instruct and motivate individuals or groups in exercise activities, including cardiovascular exercise, strength training, and stretching. According to the U.S. Department of Labor's Bureau of Labor Statistics, employment for fitness workers is expected to grow much faster than the average and most fitness workers will need to be certified.
Graduates of the Missouri College Fitness Trainer diploma program are encouraged to take the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM) certified personal trainer certification exam. This credential is nationally recognized voluntary certification that could enhance employment opportunities or income potential and is required to practice in certain states.**
An Education Relevant to the Needs of Today's Employers
At Missouri College, we believe in treating students like professionals, because we expect them to pursue and assume positions of responsibility in the real world after completing their studies. As a student at our school, you will be immersed in learning experiences similar to those you may encounter in a professional healthcare environment. In most cases, you have access to clinical externship sites where you will have the opportunity to acquire practical experience with real patients.
