Dental Assistant Programs
According to the U.S. Department of Labor's Bureau of Labor Statistics, employment for dental assistants, who perform a variety of patient care, office and laboratory duties, is projected to be excellent, as dentists are expected to hire more assistants to perform routine tasks in order to devote more of their time to more complex procedures.*
At Missouri College, you can pursue a dental assistant diploma that is programmatically accredited by the Commission on Dental Accreditation of the American Dental Association (ADA). Therefore, graduates of Missouri College’s Dental Assisting program are eligible for and encouraged to take the certification exam offered by the Dental Assisting National Board (DANB) upon graduation. This credential is a nationally recognized voluntary certification that could enhance employment opportunities. Only graduates of ADA-accredited dental assisting programs are eligible to take this exam upon graduation.**
